Details from the source

A BWN was issued due to a leak in the distribution system causing a complete loss in pressure. The leak has been fixed, but the BWN will remain in place until the system has been flushed and sanitized and 3 clean total coliform sample results are received.

What to do now that it is lifted

  1. Run cold taps for a few minutes (start with the highest faucet in the house) to flush household pipes.
  2. Throw away ice and drinks made with unboiled water during the advisory; run the ice maker through three cycles.
  3. Replace refrigerator and point-of-use filter cartridges as the manufacturer recommends.

Always follow the instructions of the issuer — the water system or health authority. This page is an independent summary, not an official notice.
