Where our data comes from
We only aggregate real, official sources — never user submissions or scraped social media. The engine behind this site automatically syncs government feeds such as the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s live notice service, Manitoba’s Office of Drinking Water advisory maps, Nova Scotia’s open data portal, Indigenous Services Canada’s First Nations advisory listings, the Florida Department of Health’s notice list and Québec’s consolidated advisory page. Where a state or province does not publish a machine-readable feed, each region page links directly to the authority that does — the regulator you would need to check anyway.
How fresh is the data?
Connected feeds sync automatically on a schedule set by the site operator (typically twice a day, with manual sync available at any time). Every notice on this site carries its source and a link to the original announcement, and rescinded notices are marked and dated rather than deleted, so you can see the trail. Because government feeds can lag real events by hours, treat this site as a fast index — and your utility’s phone number as the final word.
