Details from the source

A boil water notice (BWN) is being issued to the Knudson Cove Marina (PWSID 121026) on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Drinking Water Program staff were notified that the onsite filtration system does not meet the giardia-cyst removal requirements for the roof catchment water collection system. In order to rescind the boil water notice, the Department requires confirmation that the correct filters/housings have been installed, confirmation the water system has been flushed, & three clean total coliform sample results submitted from the distribution system.

What to do now that it is lifted

  1. Run cold taps for a few minutes (start with the highest faucet in the house) to flush household pipes.
  2. Throw away ice and drinks made with unboiled water during the advisory; run the ice maker through three cycles.
  3. Replace refrigerator and point-of-use filter cartridges as the manufacturer recommends.

Always follow the instructions of the issuer — the water system or health authority. This page is an independent summary, not an official notice.
