Details from the source

7/5/2023: BWN issued due to a water storage tank failure, resulting in the system's inability to achieve the required contact time for disinfection. To rescind the notice, documentation that the system can achieve the required contact time for disinfection (such as in-kind water storage tank replacement) & three clean total coliform sample results collected from throughout the distribution system must be submitted to the Department.

What to do now that it is lifted

  1. Run cold taps for a few minutes (start with the highest faucet in the house) to flush household pipes.
  2. Throw away ice and drinks made with unboiled water during the advisory; run the ice maker through three cycles.
  3. Replace refrigerator and point-of-use filter cartridges as the manufacturer recommends.

Always follow the instructions of the issuer — the water system or health authority. This page is an independent summary, not an official notice.
