Details from the source

On 01/31/20 our program was made aware that the system is unable to make water and has run out of stored treated water. System will remain on BWN until able to meet community water demand and contact time. Additionally, prior to lifting the BWN, ensure the backflow prevention assembly (BFP) has been replaced or repaired, or that an approved corrective action plan is in place. Close or extend the BFP deficiency as appropriate. ddb/KB -kcs

What to do now that it is lifted

  1. Run cold taps for a few minutes (start with the highest faucet in the house) to flush household pipes.
  2. Throw away ice and drinks made with unboiled water during the advisory; run the ice maker through three cycles.
  3. Replace refrigerator and point-of-use filter cartridges as the manufacturer recommends.

Always follow the instructions of the issuer — the water system or health authority. This page is an independent summary, not an official notice.
