Details from the source

BWN issued for both upper and lower loops of the distribution due to pressure loss. The upper loop is not meeting demand on its own so water is being transferred between the loops, and the lower loop does not maintain pressure above 20 psi. The BWN will remain in place until pressure is restored and total coliform sampling shows the system is free from contamination.

What to do now that it is lifted

  1. Run cold taps for a few minutes (start with the highest faucet in the house) to flush household pipes.
  2. Throw away ice and drinks made with unboiled water during the advisory; run the ice maker through three cycles.
  3. Replace refrigerator and point-of-use filter cartridges as the manufacturer recommends.
